This event brings two talented Northern Ireland writers together to talk shared themes of ideas of home, belonging, poetry, the natural world.
Skein Press first Solstice Stories book with Kerri ní Dochartaigh and Mícheál McCann was published in 2022. Through poetry, imagery and lyric fragments, Waking Light sought to honour the small things, the seeds of beginnings and endings and the search for places where we find ourselves and each other.
Since then, Kerri has published her second book Cacophony of Bone 2023 and Michael has published his first collection Devotion in 2024.
Kerri ní Dochartaigh has published two books, Thin Places, which was short-listed for the Wainwright Prize and Cacophony of Bone, a Waterstones Best book 2023 and long-listed for the Wainwright Prize.
Mícheál McCann’s poems have appeared in journals across Ireland and the U.K. He holds a PhD from the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s where he is the 2024 Publishing Fellow. His first collection Devotion was published in 2024.
