Aspects Festival

We are delighted to welcome you to Aspects Festival 2022. Our programme this year offers something for everyone and every age. From poetry to prose, from journalism to song-writing and story-telling. We also have book launches and festival clubs, new writing and discussion.

We look at Northern Ireland’s past, present and future with a series of events looking at Reporting the Troubles 2, Another Northern Ireland and Can Ireland Be One?

Events for young readers and writers include the ever popular Woodland Chew and Yarn at Clandeboye Estate along with book themed yoga, storytelling and creating your own animated story.

Jan Carson and Martina Devlin will talk about their latest books. These two wonderful writers are also facilitating our professional development writing workshops. If you are an aspiring writer don’t miss out on this opportunity from two of Northern Ireland’s finest writers.

This year we have an Aspects extra event, just after our main programme, Phil Coulter will join us to talk about his song-writing, his memoir and his life in music.

As always we celebrate the writing talent on this Island from those starting out to the more experienced and well-known.

We hope you enjoy exploring our programme and we look forward to seeing you at the festival.
