Join Eoin Lane for a walk through Clandeboye Estate while he shares readings from his newly acclaimed book, Beyond the Horizon.

‘It was one of those bright glinting February days,’ author Eoin Lane recalls, ‘and as we were passing the sands at Malahide there were people out walking their dogs and running, and boats on the water, and the whole scene just flashed by framed in the window. There was something in the perfection of that fleeting moment that stayed with me visually and fed into what I had always wanted to do, which was write a novel about the work and life of an artist.'

Originally from Dublin and now living in County Down, Eoin Lane is not only a writer but also a landscape artist and a horticulturist. His first novel Beyond the Horizon, described as ‘a beautiful poetic debut’ by Sue Leonard in the Irish Examiner, was published in 2020 by Blackstone Publishing.

This event will be outdoors so dress for the weather. This will be a walk through the gardens and woods at Clandeboye estate, stopping at picturesque spots for Eoin to read and discuss excerpts from his book Beyond the Horizon.
